MAGNOTHERM signs pilot project with REWE Group! 🤝

Following a successful test phase, we are delighted to announce a pilot project that will place magnetically-cooled fridges into operation across REWE supermarkets. Our ECLIPSE cooling platform, integrated into a top-loader configuration, will be deployed as an entirely refrigerant-free solution in around 10 stores within a selected region of Germany.

The project supports REWE’s climate and efficiency goals and follows a multi-week evaluation in a model store, where significant improvements were measured compared with conventional systems. From this testing environment, focus now shifts to operation under real supermarket conditions, with store rollout beginning later in 2026.

Deployment of these devices is a landmark step for MAGNOTHERM, evidencing demand for technologies that, by eliminating refrigerants, create a safer, cleaner, and more energy-efficient future for cooling. Retail partners such as REWE, with a progressive approach to innovation, play a vital role in enabling this shift, and help validate our commitment to bringing this critical technology to life.
